Prof. Cheng Su is a Professor of the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation at the South China University of Technology (SCUT). He is currently the Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Subtropical Building Science and Director of Key Laboratory of Wind Engineering of Guangdong Universities. Prof. Su and his team have been actively working on construction information technology, wind-induced vibration analysis and seismic analysis of long-span bridges and high-rise buildings, and construction control and health monitoring of large-scale complex structures. Over 170 publications have been authored or coauthored by Prof. Su along with over 80 presentations. Prof. Su has been the PI or Co-PI of over 100 projects. He won 7 science and technology awards of provincial and ministerial level and was awarded first prize from China Road Society. Prof. Su is the recipient of the Frederick Palmer Prize 2010 from the Institution of Civil Engineers, UK. He is currently a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for the Journal of Sound and Vibration.
