Professor Song-Qing Hu, a winner of Education Ministry's New Century Excellent Talents Supporting Plan, and a member of board of directors of Biophysical Society of Guangdong Province, received his Ph.D and Master degree in South China University of Technology. In recent years Prof. Hu has presided over the completion of 3 National Natural Science Fund projects and more than 10 provincial and ministerial research projects with main research interests in Food protein structure and enzyme engineering, Natural products chemistry and engineering, and Food nutrition and human health. More than 130 academic papers have been published in which more than 50 papers indexed by SCI, EI, especially with 1 paper published in PNAS. Prof. Hu has mandated and been authorized 18 Chinese invention patents with 1 international PCT patents application, and been granted 2 Provincial-Level Scientific Awards.
