Dr Yu LIU is a full professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and he is the Director of Advanced Environmental Biotechnology Centre, Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute. His primary research interests are largely on biological processes and advanced environmental biotechnology for wastewater reclamation with the focus on (i) energy neutral/positive wastewater reclamation technology; (ii) energy and resources recovery from biosolids and (iii) MBR and related. His research output may be found in more than 200 SCI journal papers with total citations of more than 9000 and h-index of 53. He has also authored and edited 7 technical books published by Elsevier, Wiley, CRC Press etc. In recognition of his contributions to research and public services, Professor Liu was awarded The Public Administration Medal (Bronze) 2014, The Minister for National Development R&D Merit Award 2013, and Singapore National Technology Award 2003.
