2023

December	CSIJRI successfully held its ninth governing council meeting. CSIJRI and CUHK-Shenzhen signed a memorandum of cooperation for the Smart Energy Storage Joint Research Centre project. CSIJRI, Guangzhou Hydrogen and Smart Energy Federation, and Guangzhou China-German Hydrogen Energy Research Institute signed an agreement to construct the Greater Bay Area (Guangzhou) Hydrogen Innovation and Technology Centre.
November	CSIJRI welcomed the delegation headed by Mr Tan Hai Chuan, Singapore's Ambassador to China.
July	CSIJRI won the second prize in the technology transfer category of the Huangpu District Sci & Tech Innovation Competition.
June	CSIJRI, Oriental Energy, and the Guangdong Huangpu Administrative Committee signed a cooperation framework agreement at the 13th meeting of the Singapore-Guangdong Collaboration Council.
May	The first POI Cup China-Singapore College Students' Process AI Modelling Competition jointly organized by CSIJRI and POI-TECH came to a successful conclusion.
April	CSIJRI welcomed the visit of Mr Wang Weizhong, the Governor of Guangdong.
March	CSIJRI welcomed the visit of Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
January	CSIJRI successfully concluded its first phase of achievement assessment.

2022

December	CSIJRI welcomed the visit of Mr Loh Tuck Keat, the Consul General of Singapore in Guangzhou.
November	The eighth meeting of the CSIJRI Governing Council was successfully held.
October	The CSIJRI headquarters building was officially inaugurated. CSIJRI welcomed the delegation headed by Mr Wu Shiwen, Deputy Director of the Guangdong Science and Technology Department. The press conference for the first POI Cup China-Singapore University Students' Process AI Modelling Competition, co-organized by CSIJRI and POI-TECH, was successfully held.
September	CSIJRI participated in the Chinese session of IP Week @ SG 2022.
May	CSIJRI welcomed Consuls General and Chamber of Commerce representatives from ASEAN countries in Guangzhou.
April	Guangzhou Lihua Zhongxing Venture Capital Fund (Limited Partnership), CSIJRI's first investment fund, was established.

2021

December	CSIJRI welcomed Mr Lui Tuck Yew, Singapore Ambassador to China, and his wife Madame Teng Soo Fen. CSIJRI signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Biosyngen, a Singapore-based cell therapy company.
November	CSIJRI and the GDUFS Huangpu Institute jointly established a postgraduate internship program at CSIJRI. Prof Lam Khin Yong, Chairman of the Governing Council, was conferred the title of Honorary Citizen of Guangzhou during the 17th batch of conferments.
September	CSIJRI signed a cooperation agreement with Peprolife Biotech to build a laboratory for the development of FSMPs.
July	CSIJRI welcomed the visit of Ms Charine Yong, Consul (Political) of the Consulate-General of the Republic of Singapore in Guangzhou. CSIJRI welcomed the visit of Mr Yang Honglian, Deputy Director of the Huangpu District Science and Technology Bureau.
March	CSIJRI held its first meeting of the governing council in 2021.

2020

December	As a notable achievement, the Joint Council for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) meeting announced an enhancement in cooperation with CSIJRI. The CSIJRI Postdoctoral Program was approved by the National Postdoctoral Management Committee. CSIJRI made its debut appearance at the 17th China-ASEAN Expo.
November	The research outcome from Dr Long Yi's team was published in JOULE, one of the most prestigious scientific journals (2019 impact factor: 29.16).
October	CSIJRI welcomed the visit of Mr Ruan Xiangping, a first-level inspector from the Ministry of Science and Technology's International Cooperation Department.
September	CSIJRI was selected for the 2020 Global Top 100 Technology Transfer Cases list. CSIJRI joined the CSGKC Maritime Silk Road University-Enterprise Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance. CSIJRI made its debut appearance at the 23rd China Beijing International High-tech Expo, the 2020 China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fair, and the 22nd China International High-Tech Fair.
June	CSIJRI held the topping-out ceremony for its headquarters building. CSIJRI has settled in the Guangzhou Development Zone Financial Service Supermarket and the Intellectual Property Financial Service Centre.
May	The online roadshow of NTU Innovation Projects, hosted by CSIJRI and the NTU Office in China, was held on the China Enterprise News live broadcasting platform.
April	The research results of Dr Long Yi's team were published in Chemical Society Reviews, one of the most prestigious scientific journals (2019 impact factor: 42.846).
March	CSIJRI received special subsidies from Guangdong Province for research on the prevention and control of the new coronavirus.

2019

December	Four CSIJRI projects received the International Experts Projects subsidy. Three CSIJRI projects were awarded the Guangdong Province Key R&D Fund.
September	Dr Long Yi and her team published their research outcome in Advanced Energy Materials (2018 impact factor: 24.88).
August	Mr Png Cheong Boon, Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise Singapore, visited CSIJRI. CSIJRI and Hunan Huifukangda Health Management & Research Institute signed a cooperation framework agreement to establish a joint research centre. CSIJRI and Guangdong Huaqingyuan Biotechnology co-founded the Nanyao Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients Development Centre, and held the signing and plaque unveiling ceremony.
July	Mr Qin Weizhong, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province visited CSIJRI.
May	Mr Heng Swee Keat, Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance visited CSGKC, and was briefed on CSIJRI's development.
March	Prof Xing Bengang and his team published their research in Natural Communications.
January	Mr Stanley Loh Ka Leung, former Singapore's Ambassador to China, visited CSIJRI. CSIJRI was recognised as the New R&D Institute of 2018 by the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province.

2018

December	The China-Singapore International Smart Industrial Park, where the CSIJRI headquarters building is located, held its groundbreaking ceremony. Antiviral Polypeptides Surfacing and Its Biomedical Applications, one of CSIJRI's projects, received special funding from the Guangdong Science and Technology Department under the Belt & Road Initiative.
November	CSIJRI established its commercial arm, Guangzhou Zhongxing Technology Development Co., Ltd., to support its sustainable development. Mr Tan Shau En, former Assistant Chief Executive (Commercialisation) of the Singapore IP Office, visited CSIJRI.
October	The 4th Governing Council meeting was held, and the plaque for the Joint Biomaterials Lab was unveiled. CSIJRI rolled out its second batch of 21 R&D projects.
August	The Expert Committee from Guangzhou Science and Technology Innovation Commission conducted mid-term assessment of CSIJRI projects. Mr Ma Xingrui, Governor of Guangdong Province, visited CSIJRI. Mr Lai Chung Han, Second Permanent Secretary (Education), Ministry of Education and Second Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Singapore visited CSIJRI.
June	The 3rd governing council meeting was held.
May	Mr Wang Guilin, Director-General of Guangzhou Municipal Sci & Tech Bureau visited CSIJRI.
March	Dr Meng Linghan, a key member of Guangzhou GreenF Materials Technology, which was incubated by CSIJRI, won the "Entrepreneurial Talents" award from Guangzhou Huangpu District and Guangzhou Development District.
January	The second governing council meeting was held in Guangzhou.

2017

August	Mr Ong Ye Kung, former Singapore Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills), and his delegation attended the opening ceremony of the R&D Building.
July	CSIJRI launched its first batch of 24 R&D projects.
March	CSIJRI completed its registration, held its first Governing Council meeting, and also welcomed a visit from Mr Wong Kan Seng, former Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore.

2015

December	CSIJRI held its plaque ceremony in December 2015.
November	China's President Xi Jinping and Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong witnessed the signing of the agreement to establish CSIJRI.

2014

April

Witnessed by Mr Hu Chunhua, a member of the CPC Central Committee and the then Secretary of The CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, a collaboration agreement between SCUT and NTU Singapore was signed in Singapore in April 2014.
