On November 18th, the 10th Singapore-Guangdong Collaboration Council meeting took place in Guangzhou. Before the meeting, Li Xi, Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, and Ma Xingrui, Governor of Guangdong Province and Co-chair of the Council, met with Ong Ye Kung, Singapore's Minister for Education and Co-chair of the Council. During the meeting, chaired by Governor Ma and Minister Ong, both parties discussed the developmental strengths of the Greater Bay Area and the future of smart cities. Governor Ma and Minister Ong also signed the Singapore-Guangdong Collaboration Council's Memorandum to deepen cooperation and witnessed the signing of 20 cooperation agreements between China and Singapore.
The 7th China-Singapore Knowledge Forum took place in the afternoon. Zhang Hu, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, and Ong Ye Kung, Singapore's Minister for Education, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. The forum, themed "Step Up the Drive of GBA Development & Explore New Opportunities for China-Singapore Cooperation," brought together think-tank experts and business representatives from both countries to explore future collaboration opportunities. The event attracted nearly 250 guests.
The day before the forum, a delegation of government officials and business representatives visited leading enterprises in Knowledge City. CSIJRI was highlighted as a model of China-Singapore collaboration. The institute's achievements in scientific research and technology transfer were well-received, with delegates expressing strong interest in further cooperation and bringing advanced technologies to the Chinese market.
