On February 27th, Mr. Loh Tuck Keat, Consul-General of Singapore in Guangzhou, along with his delegation, visited CSIJRI, accompanied by Mr. Ang Boon Peng, Senior Vice President of Strategic Collaboration at CSGKC. They were warmly welcomed by Professor Yu Long, Executive Director of CSIJRI, and Mr. Xie Xinghua, Vice Director of CSIJRI.
Professor Yu Long provided Mr. Loh with an overview of the institute's background, operational model, and accomplishments in technology transfer. CSIJRI serves as a platform that fosters collaboration in research and technology commercialization, acting as a conduit for NTU Singapore to channel research outcomes into the Chinese market.
The delegation toured the CSIJRI laboratories, gaining deeper insights into the institute's talent recruitment efforts, ongoing projects, research achievements, and technology transfer activities. Mr. Loh highlighted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore and the 10th anniversary of Guangzhou Knowledge City. He suggested the institute could leverage this opportunity to enhance collaboration and research commercialization.
