On November 10, the Guangdong Science and Technology Department unveiled the roster of natural scientific projects set to receive subsidies. For 2023, the Guangdong Basic and Applied Basic Research Fund (the Guangdong Natural Science Fund) has initiated support for 3,449 projects. Among them, 2,999 are general projects, 300 for youth enhancement, and 120 projects for outstanding youth, alongside a select 30 for outstanding youth group projects.
Prof Ren leads an exceptional team, and their project, "Metabolic Variances Between Plant-Derived Protein Peptides and Animal-Derived Protein Peptides," has earned them a coveted position among the top 30 group projects. This recognition entitles them to a grant of 3 million RMB from the esteemed Guangdong Natural Science Fund.
