Biodegradable starch-based foam
02
Introduction
Crafted from renewable plant starch and vegetable oil, all-starch foam emerges as a biodegradable protective packaging material boasting natural degradability and negative carbon emissions. It functions admirably as logistics buffer packaging while guaranteeing zero pollution, zero waste, and eco-friendliness. Equipped with vapor foaming technology, it is ideal for packaging buffering, freshness preservation, and heat retention. Furthermore, it's foldable, cost-effective, and environmentally conscious.
Introduction to Marking Awards (MA)
Initiated by FBIF in 2016, MA has maintained a steadfast commitment to fostering packaging innovation, optimizing functionality, and recognizing the aesthetic appeal of food brands. As a globally recognized event, it has garnered attention from the WPO. The judging panel comprises executives from leading food packaging design departments and founders or design directors of premier global design agencies. This diverse panel offers a comprehensive and equitable evaluation of food packaging design across six dimensions: design, communication, forward-thinking, functionality, commercial value, and sustainability.
GFTPS
Traditional foam materials are often bulky and lightweight, resulting in increased transportation and warehousing costs and a lack of degradability. Moreover, they face technical challenges related to product processing continuity and stability.
GFTPS promotes the use of biologically sourced materials. By capitalizing on the accessibility, affordability, and renewability of starch, the company spearheads innovations in starch modification and extrusion processing technologies and systems. GFTPS has developed a patented production line for degradable functional starch with an annual capacity of 3000 tons. This environmentally friendly product has extensive applications, such as materials for industrial buffers and fruit and vegetable preservation.
As a Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Enterprise, it has garnered numerous accolades, including the third prize in the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Award and the second prize in the Guangzhou Technology Innovation Competition.
