Mrs Rena Lee, Chief Executive of IPOS, Leads Delegation Visit to CSIJRI

On April 14, Mrs Rena Lee, Chief Executive of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS), and her delegation visited CSIJRI. They were accompanied by Mr Zhong Zijian, Director of the Guangzhou Development District Intellectual Property Office; Mr Tian Shuai, Deputy Director of the Guangzhou Development District Intellectual Property Office; Ms Liu Jing, Director of the Intellectual Property Department of the CSGKC Development and Construction Office; and Mr Zhang Delong, Vice President of GKC JV. Dr Gu Haiwen and Mr Ang Boon Peng, President of the CSIJRI IP and Innovation Centre, warmly received them.

The delegation visited the CSIJRI exhibition hall and received a detailed report on the Institute's achievements in innovation, industry-university collaboration, talent introduction and training, the Singapore project teams, and research commercialization. They lauded the Institute's accomplishments in research commercialization and intellectual property management.

Mr Zhong Zijian highlighted that the Guangzhou Development District Intellectual Property Office, the only district and county-level office in China, has been actively exploring IP application and protection, achieving outstanding results. As China-Singapore cooperation continues to deepen, he expressed hope for more innovations and high-quality industrial development, aiming to create an IP innovation hub to empower the knowledge economy.


Ms Rena Lee emphasized the significance of the "All-Round High-Quality Future-Oriented Partnership" between the two countries, highlighting its potential to advance intellectual property cooperation. She hoped the Institute could leverage its platform advantage to gather innovative resources and explore collaboration models for IP application. Additionally, she urged for enhancements in intellectual property creation, applications, protection, management, and services for the two countries.
