On September 16, the 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) opened in Nanning, Guangxi Province, with the theme "A Harmonious Home and A Shared Future – Promoting High-Quality Development of the BRI and Nurturing New Growth Poles." CSIJRI showcased its cutting-edge technologies, including low-carbon hydrogen technology, industrial waste salt utilization and commercialization, a rapidly adaptable intelligent agricultural platform, and Novapave technology. Featured in the "Advanced Technologies" section, these innovations quickly drew attention from both domestic and international visitors.
This year's CAEXPO saw an influx of research institutes and enterprises from across China, and visitors expressed strong interest in CSIJRI's innovations.
Dr Meng Yuanyuan, a member of the Novapave R&D team, hailed the CAEXPO as a perfect platform to showcase Novapave technology. It played a pivotal role in promoting the super-viscous fine coatings and facilitated the entry of Novapave technology into ASEAN countries. This, in turn, contributed to expanding international scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation.
As a key event under the Belt and Road Initiative, the China-ASEAN Expo is an international platform co-sponsored by Chinese economic and trade authorities, the 10 ASEAN countries, and the ASEAN Secretariat. Over the past two decades, it has become a vital bridge between China and ASEAN countries. This year, CSIJRI showcased its latest innovations, facilitating technology transfer and commercialization and laying the groundwork for international cooperation while supporting the development of the Greater Bay Area.
