Prof Wan Jinquan is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Environment and Energy, SCUT. He serves as the deputy director of the Laboratory of Pollution Control and Remediation of Contaminated Soil under the Ministry of Education. Prof. Wan is a distinguished expert, recognized with special allowances from the State Council and as a talent under the Guangdong 1,000-100-10 Project.

He has received several prestigious awards, including the titles of "National Outstanding Science and Technology Worker," "Guangdong May 1st Labor Medal," and the "Guangdong Patents Award." Prof. Wan has led 863 Projects, major national water pollution control initiatives, and National Natural Science Foundation projects. His work has earned him the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the China Patent Excellence Award, and the first prize of the Guangdong Science and Technology Award.
