Dr. Long Yi is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She earned her Ph.D. from Cambridge University in 2005. Following her doctoral studies, Dr. Long served as a Teaching Fellow from 2005 to 2011, during which she successfully transferred two technologies to industry. Her work has made significant contributions to both academia and industrial applications.

Since 2011, she has published over 70 papers in journals such as Joule, Advanced Functional Materials, and ACS Nano, along with invited reviews. Her work has been widely featured on platforms like WeChat Researcher, Nanoresearchers, Wiley China, Materialsviews, Frontier in Polymer Researchers, and Intellectual and Researchers.

Her research interests include functional thin films, energy-saving smart windows, and flexible devices. Early in her career, she focused on technology transfer to industry, successfully developing two technologies for industry applications, including Seagate Technology. In recent years, her research has primarily focused on intelligent windows, and she won the Global TechConnect Innovation Award in Washington in 2015 as the principal investigator. Her current research continues to explore functional coatings, especially energy-saving coatings, flexible devices, and smart material applications.
