On June 1st, Prof Jin Gang, SCUT Vice President, and his delegation visited CSIJRI. Mr Xie Xinghua, Senior Vice President of the Institute, warmly welcomed them and gave them a comprehensive overview of the Institute's history, talent cultivation model, ongoing research projects, technology transfer and commercialization efforts, and international exchanges.
During the visit, they engaged in lively discussions on intellectual property rights commercialization, talent introduction and cultivation, and fostering industry-research collaboration. Additionally, they exchanged experiences and perspectives on how universities can effectively promote research commercialization.
Prof Jin Gang highlighted that industry-research collaboration could address the challenges of technological advancement and social development. As an international cooperation platform, the Institute has contributed significantly to technology transfer, fostering innovation, and promoting China-Singapore research commercialization. It has forged a global cooperation network and cultivated a robust industry-research collaboration ecosystem. Entrepreneurial teams should capitalize on this platform to facilitate the alignment between cutting-edge technological breakthroughs and industries. They should leverage the platform to incubate high-tech startups, driving CSIJRI's research agenda and fostering industry-research collaboration.
Prof Jin Gang and his delegation also visited POI-TECH, a CSIJRI-affiliated company in Knowledge City.
Among those present were Mr Zhang Jianxiong, Secretary of the Party Members Group of SCUT Asset Management Company; Mr Han Hongcao, Assistant to the General Manager; and Mr Su Dongsheng, Manager of the SCUT Investment and Development Department.
