Prof Li Li is a Ph.D. student supervisor, a member of the Chinese Food Science and Technology Society, and serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of the Chinese Cereals and Oils Association and China Brewing. Her research focuses on protein-containing foods. She has led several key programs, including those sponsored by the Natural Science Foundation of China, the 863 Program, and the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Program.

Prof Li won third prize at the Cheese Judging Contest of the New York State Cheese Manufacturers' Association in 2008 and second prize at the National Science and Technology Progress Awards in 2009. She has published over 100 papers, with more than 20 indexed by SCI and EI. She currently holds six patents in China.
