Prof Ren has extensive experience in the pilot-scale preparation, separation, and evaluation of natural bioactive compounds, including polypeptides, glycoproteins, modified polysaccharides, and polyphenols. These compounds are used for memory enhancement, uric acid regulation, cancer prevention, inflammation control, liver protection, skin and joint care, anti-aging, and other applications. Her team has published 81 SCI/EI papers, with a citation count of over 1,270. Five of these papers have been recognized as ESI Highly Cited Papers. The team holds one international patent and has filed for 49 patents, of which 27 have been granted.
