Participating projects:: Development and Commercialisation of Novapave® Technology for Ultra-Viscous Fine Overlay

Dr. Hu Chichun earned his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from SCUT in 2007. He currently serves as a professor at the School of Civil and Transportation Engineering, SCUT. As a Pearl River Sci & Tech Star, he has received funding through the China Natural Science Foundation-European Commission Talent Program. He is a letter review expert for the National Natural Science Foundation of China and an evaluation expert for the Degree and Postgraduate Education Centre of the Ministry of Education. Additionally, he contributes to the Guangdong Development and Reform Commission and the Expert Database of the Guangdong Department of Science and Technology.

He has spearheaded three National Natural Science Foundation projects, published over 50 papers indexed in SCI and EI, and holds over 30 patents in China. Currently, he supervises the asphalt pavement project at CSIJRI. The NovaPave® super-viscous fine coating technology developed by his team has been widely adopted in projects across the Greater Bay Area, Guangxi, Yunnan, Jiangxi, Shaanxi, and other parts of China, covering a total area of over 3 million square meters.
