Key Words: Building defects detection, AI system, drone application, Building Information Modelling (BIM)

This is an artificial intelligence system designed to intelligently detect defects in building facades using images or videos captured by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). The system utilizes advanced image segmentation neural networks to rapidly and accurately identify damages from data collected by UAVs and assess their severity. This technology can be integrated with Building Information Modeling (BIM) or other modeling platforms, facilitating the development of virtual cities and rural areas.

Potential Applications

This AI system enables rapid and precise defect detection in the realm of buildings and infrastructure. It can be employed by property owners, as well as by real estate and urban management entities, effectively reducing potential incidents that might jeopardize public safety. Additionally, the system can be integrated into UAV-based property maintenance systems, enhancing the level of intelligence in real estate and urban management, and improving response times to facade defects.

Value Proposition

The core capability of this AI system lies in its ability to autonomously identify and classify facade defects. It seamlessly integrates with existing property maintenance systems based on BIM or UAV technology. It provides timely insights into the health of building facades and offers maintenance recommendations, prompting property owners and stakeholders in real estate or urban management to undertake necessary repairs and upkeep, thus preventing events that could compromise public safety. Utilizing advanced image segmentation neural networks, the system processes UAV-acquired data swiftly and automatically. Compared to conventional manual inspection methods, it boasts advantages such as speed, precision, scalability, and convenient integration with third-party services.
