Assoc Prof Liu Linbo received his bachelor's degree from Tianjin University in 2001, a master's degree in Optical Engineering in 2004, and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from NTU Singapore in 2008. In 2011, he was awarded the Massachusetts General Hospital Medical Discovery Postdoctoral Award from Harvard Medical School. He currently works at NTU's School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, where he is the director of the Centre for Biodevices and Bioinformatics. His research focuses on high-resolution optical coherence tomography technology.

He has published over 70 SCI papers in esteemed journals such as Nature Medicine and Optica. Prof Liu has filed for 11 domestic and international patents, with 6 patents granted and 2 license agreements signed.
