Ammonia cracking is currently believed to be a simple and cost-effective method for hydrogen generation. A key element within the ammonia cracking process is the catalyst employed in ammonia cracker. The technology provides a robust approach for catalyst development and system integration for ammonia cracking, and it will subsequently fortify the entire green hydrogen industry value chain.
This technology signifies an advancement of ammonia cracking for hydrogen generation, presenting a novel approach to one‐step synthesis method of catalyst. The core innovation revolves around the synthesis of a self-supported catalyst using a unique ceramic molding technique, which leads to drastic reduction in the usual high catalyst costs associated with ammonia cracking and hydrogen generation. Moreover, this catalyst holds the potential to facilitate the development of a portable hydrogen production on-demand system (HOD). The system includes a low-temperature ammonia cracking reactor, which harnesses the advantages of the newly proposed catalyst.
